CHECK YOUR EMAIL AND DTRPG ACCOUNT

EDIT- There is an issue with DTRPG and the email list. We will resend list when corrected. Please hold all emails requesting copy until we find the issue.   

Thanks so much for your patience! We are really close to completing the North America sourcebook.  Today we have sent out the feedback version of the document.  A couple of notes:

PLEASE READ EVERYTHING BEFORE EMAILING OR MESSAGING

KICKSTARTER BACKERS ONLY: Late Backers will get the final version when completed.

The Pink Boxes are normal. Those are place holders for art that wasn't quite ready or is being completed. Some is where we find open spots and cant start making the art until we see where its needed.

Feedback

Please only send feedback for errors, we will not be adding new content as this is the final written and approved version. When sending Feedback please do the following.

Only one email. If 100 people send back just two or three isues, its a HUGE amount of work and will actually slow us down.  Email [email protected]

Please include:

  • Version: Savage Worlds or 5e
  • Column
  • Page Number
  • Error
  • Suggested fix

What if I didnt get my feedback copy?

  • Did you back Kickstarter or late? We reserve the preview process for Kickstarter backers.
  • Did you check your spam folder?
  • Did you check on DTRPG to see if you have new titles from Star Anvil Studios?

Hello

 Just a short update. We are still progressing North America through layout. We ordered a few more more pieces of art to complete the book.  All art is on track, right now, for end of August.  Of course if things get done sooner, we will share more then.

NORTH AMERICA MISSION PACK

THE MISISON PACK IS OUT!

We have sent the Mission Pack out to everyone who backed at the level to get it. We had it done first while the book is still being worked on and wanted to share as soon as we could. This is not the final version,we will take feedback to catch any errors, typos, and general info. These cant be completely rewrtitten at this point though. We are just trying to ensure they are clear and usable.

WHAT IF I DIDNT GET THE MISSION PACK?

 First, check your pledge level, did you back at the level where it was included? If not then you'll be able to buy it later when its available on DTRPG. If you did back but didn't get it, check if your DTRPG email is the same as the one you use for Kickstarter. Also check your DTRPG account directly as well. If not, you'll need to email us at [email protected]

 Make the subject TSW Mission Pack Delivery. Include your Kickstarter email, DTRPG email, and pledge level. If you do not include these things it will take much longer to get a reponse.

TALISMANS

MINOR UPDATE AND ART SHARE

When we first published the The Secret World for Savage Worlds we had several requests to have rules for creating Talismans. That was the impetus to making that, along with the Bases, a stretch goal for North America. 

Now, those are some of the first items being completed. That and the 12 Adventure one shots. Those will be dlivered soon, prior to the main book, as they are stand alone options.  Once those are done in layout we will get those to all of you to start reading and enjoying. 

When we start sharing the PDFs, we hope to get feedback to help ensure they are as good as they can be. We are to sharing this minor update so you know the light at the end of tunnel is near.  In the mean time, here are a few pieces of art for the current Talismans being added to the book. The always amazing Ani Ghosh has done these for us.

UPDATE: Approvals!

APROVED!

Funcom has approved the final documents for North America. This means the project is back in motion and we are working hard to get things done. So what are the next steps?

  • Editing- Editing the book takes time. So that means it wont be done in a week. On the plus side, our editor is great and will help make sure you get an amazing book.
  • Layout- After editing comes layout.  Its also not the fastest process, we want it to look great of course! This will show us where art needs to fit and how the book is shaping up.
  • Feedback- Once we have the book done in layout, minus the art that will be completed, we will share it for feedback. This will help us catch any misses and or major issues.  
  • Illustrations- Once the book has been laid out we will be using that to help inform any final art needed to finish the book.
  • Final PDF- After all the feedback is done and illustrations are added, we will send out final PDFs.
  • Print on Demand Proofing- After the completed PDFs are ready they are sent to DTRPG for print proofs. These are always several weeks to get back.  
  • Delivery of Codes- Once we have the proofs and approved them we can start sending the codes.

WHEN WILL YOU HAVE THE BOOK?

Its very hard to give a definitive timeline, as these thinsg can vary. That being said, I can give a general idea. Editng can take up to a month and layout at least two weeks.  Final art will be working as we seee how things shape up. I'll be starting art now to ensure we dont waste any time. For feedback we like to give two weeks at least. So, the PDF will come much sooner. The final print proofs usually take about 6 weeks.  You'll have the PDF, of course, before the codes arrive.

Of course we want to get everything to all of you as soon as possible. We will do what we can to speed things along. We will post another update in June as to where things stand. Thanks for your patience and support from all of you!
